Shadow Box Card

Cute Card Thursday - new (Schneemann Stempel)
Stamp Something - New Somethings (Schneemann Stempel)
Paper Play Challenges - Metal (Metall Schneeflocken)
Pile it on #30 - Crystal clear (transparente Knöpfe)
The Pink Elephant - 2 Papiere, 3 Knöpfe and Schneeflocken

Hello my dears, after removing the christmas decorations, there is a lot of empty space to fill, so I decided to make some new decorations ... today I made a shadow box card and I'm entering several challenges with it ;)

Cute Card Thursday - new (snowman stamp)
Stamp Something - New Somethings (snowman stamp)
Paper Play Challenges - Metal (metal snowflakes)
Pile it on #30 - Crystal clear (clear buttons)
The Pink Elephant - 2 Design Papers, 3 Buttons and Snowflakes

Supplies:
Stempel: Magnolia So Jolly Collection, Winter Collection 2009, Autumn Collection 2008 und Winter Supplements 2007
CS: Konfettiweiß
Papier: Magnolia So Jolly Collection
Stempelkissen: Kakaobraun

I noticed that I didnt show you the step-by-step tutorial for the shadow box card, which I made for the Stempeleinmaleins here on my personal blog ... so I want to do it now:

***
I found the idea at Splittcoaststampers and made step by step pictures for you.

Was Ihr braucht:

  • 2 Stück Cardstock (12 cm x 18 cm or 5" x 7“)
  • Stempel
  • Embellishments zum Dekorieren
***

What you'll need:
  • Bone folder (for scoring) or ScorPal, I used my Fiskars Trimmer with a Bone folder
  • Sticky Strip
  • Cutting Die like Nestabilities or a template
  • Two pieces of cardstock (12 cm x 18 cm or 5" x 7“)
  • Stamps
  • Embellishments for decorating

***
Score both cardstock pieces at 1,5 cm, 3 cm, 15 cm and 16,5 cm (or ½“, 1“, 6“ and 6 ½“). Cut a window of your choice in one of the cardstock pieces (centered)

***
You can now stamp on the cardstock or add some papers and make a frame for the window. These are the pieces for my card:

***
You add now your main motive to the cardstock without a window, the folded sides are looking upside. Now you adhere both pieces of cardstock together like it's showing in the pictures.

Nun kommt der richtig kreative Teil ... dekorieren :)
***
Now the really creative part begins ... decorate :)

***
From the sides the card looks like that:

***
You can send the card in an envelope when you squeeze it...

Thanks for looking
